Welcome to the Orange County LABOR MARKET INFORMATION website.

This is the Orange County Workforce Investment Board's (WIB) primary source of information on the region's labor market. Labor market information includes wage and salary data, occupational projections, employment statistics, education and training providers and local economic news. Through strategic use of this data, the Orange County WIB and its workforce partners can plan and implement effective education, training, and workforce system resources for the Orange County region.

Workforce Indicator Report
This report provides information on how Orange County can best address our many workforce challenges. The report provides current and projected workforce data that can facilitate strategic planning on how to improve business growth and training opportunities in the Orange County region.

2002 Employers Survey
Employers Survey results are presented which identify ten (10) industry clusters that are key to the Orange County regional economy and the County workforce.

LMI Committee
The Labor Market Intelligence Committee is responsible for assessment of the local labor market including occupational trends, current and projected employment opportunities, and development of labor market research studies.

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) is a source of local and statewide labor market information of use to job providers, trainers, and seekers.

  • Industry - current, historical and projected employment by industry, hours and earnings, and firm size data.
  • Labor Force - provide employment, unemployment, and market monthly, annually, and historical. (employment, unemployment, and unemployment rate) by county and state; labor market conditions in California.
  • Occupations - projections of employment by occupation (Orange County,1993-2000); Occupational Resources the California Occupational Guides and the Emerging Guides; the Digest of Licensed Occupations; the Occupational Wage Supplement; the Important Job Skills for California's Top Fifty Occupations; and the Occupational Outlook Reports.
